The bEQ (Building Energy Quotient) certification from An HRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) is an evaluation of the building's energy efficiency. This certification evaluates 'In Design' and 'In Operation' performance. For this categorization, aspects such as high efficiency lighting and air conditioning systems, good use of natural light and means to prevent the entry of heat produced by the sun to ensure that air conditioning equipment is not overloaded, thus avoiding higher electricity consumption, are taken into account.
This audit also evaluates the quality of the internal environment, focusing on the health and productivity of the people who live there in terms of ventilation, lighting, and thermal comfort.

The Costa Rica Convention Center is a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), which brings together suppliers from all over the world in the management, transportation and lodging of international meetings and events. It has 1,100 companies and organizations from almost 100 countries.

The CCCR is also a member of the Costa Rica Convention Bureau, a non-profit organization whose main function is to develop promotional activities in target markets in order to position Costa Rica as a destination to attract the MICE segment.
It is made up of more than forty-five of the most important hotel companies, specialists in destination management, attractions and support services.

We are also members of APROCON, the Association of professionals and businessmen who organize congresses, fairs and events in Costa Rica. At a national level, it is the referent entity of the economic activity generated by the congress and convention industry. Conventions industry.

AIPC is an international association of convention centers whose mission is to support, encourage and recognize excellence in the operation and management of convention centers. It recognizes and promotes the essential role of the international meetings industry in supporting academic, professional and economic development, as well as enhancing global relationships among diverse business and cultural interests.
AIPC represents a global network of more than 185 leading convention centers in 60 countries, with the active participation of more than 900 professionals at the management level.

The CCCR is also EDGE certified for post construction of its facilities, which is granted by the Green Building Council Costa Rica (GBCCR), by virtue of its characteristics related to sustainability. This certification system focuses on the evaluation of three parameters of building performance: energy consumption, water consumption, and energy embodied in materials.
EDGE is an international certification system administered by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a partner organization of the World Bank.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifies highly efficient and economical green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement, since LEED buildings save energy, water resources, generate less waste and support human health.

The Costa Rica Convention Center was honored as a leading conference and meeting venue in Mexico and Central America 2019 by the World Travel Awards.
