{"id":12857,"date":"2019-07-16T16:18:48","date_gmt":"2019-07-16T22:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/costaricacc.com\/sin-categorizar\/clothing-industry-fashion-design-creativity-will-be-part-of-the-lectures-of-the-costa-rica-fashion-week\/"},"modified":"2024-09-18T08:53:49","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T14:53:49","slug":"clothing-industry-fashion-design-creativity-will-be-part-of-the-lectures-of-the-costa-rica-fashion-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/costaricacc.com\/en\/blog-en\/clothing-industry-fashion-design-creativity-will-be-part-of-the-lectures-of-the-costa-rica-fashion-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Clothing industry, fashion design creativity will be part of the lectures of the Costa Rica Fashion Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h6><em>Fashion event with the longest track record in the country will take place from August 2 \u2013 4<\/em><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h6><em>The CRFW partners with Cocos Island to highlight the national concept<\/em><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>San Jos\u00e9, Costa Rica.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.costaricafashionweek.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Costa Rica Fashion Week (CRFW)<\/a>, the first official event of the clothing industry and tailoring of Costa Rica, will take place from August 2 \u2013 4 at the <a style=\"font-size: 14px; background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/costaricacc.com\/historia-centro-de-convenciones-de-costa-rica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centro de Convensiones de Costa Rica (CCCR).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The event, which will develop an educational process with Costa Rican companies, small and medium sized workshops, seamstresses, fashion design students and graduates both public and private, keeps its goal intact, which is to promote and visualize the clothing industry and tailoring of Costa Rica.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 edition of the CRFW will have four main cornerstones: SME Expo, fashion shows, lectures, trainings and workshops, and social and cultural interest activities.<a href=\"http:\/\/costaricacc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Fashion-Week-1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/costaricacc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Fashion-Week-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Fashion Week\" width=\"434\" height=\"289\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Taking into consideration the importance of that the lectures and trainings bring to the CRFW, the organization officially announces part of the subjects that experts in the matter will cover during these two days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday August 2nd:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cChallenges of the Clothing Industry in Costa Rica for the product positioning and exportation,\u201d by MSc. Juan Jos\u00e9 Jim\u00e9nez Granados, director of the CRFW<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHow to Consolidate your Clothing Company,\u201d by Rolando Mar\u00edn, head of the Entrepreneurship Department of the DIGEPYME Ministry of Commerce and Industry MEIC.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHow to Have the Nation Brand for your Company,\u201d by Cinthya Prendas PROCOMER<\/li>\n<li>\u201c\u00bfAppointments with Clothing Promoter of PROCOMER,\u201d by Kevin Villalta.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cPractical Workshop by INA N\u00facleo Textil: Using Accessories to Accelerate Clothing Tailoring,\u201d by Minor Acosta Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday August 3rd:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201c\u00bfWhat Is and Isn\u2019t High Couture?\u201d by Adriana Orozco.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cFashion Design and Its Creative Process,\u201d by MSc. Reynaldo Jos\u00e9 Flores, designer and professor at the Universidad EDP Puerto Rico.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cRelevance, Linkage, and Innovation as a core idea for the development of knowledge in the Academic and Professional Fields,\u201d by Licenciada Lorena Ledesma Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Aguascalientes M\u00e9xico.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWorkshops on Textile Rescue and Investigation,\u201d by Mr. Max Sep\u00falveda (Chile).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cOur goal is to provide quality trainings with strong contents to the attendees, taught by matter experts, whom we are privileged to have in our country,\u201d <em>explained Mr.<\/em> Juan Jos\u00e9 Jim\u00e9nez, director of the CRFW.<\/p>\n<p>The event will have special guests and national and international designers, like Elly Guesa (Mexico), Aline Moreno (Mexico), Miguel Chong (Honduras), Harry Garay (Nicaragua), Rolando Torres (Panama), Jaime Luna (Panama), among others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>United with Cocos Island<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As it has been customary in its 18 past editions, the CRFW focuses on providing a great support to the local, and by being hosted at the Costa Rica Convention Center, the event builds the cornerstones to becoming an environmentally friendly activity that opts for the national talent and beauty. This is why, for the first time ever, the CRFW will have an alliance with the FUNDACI\u00d3N AMIGOS DE LA ISLA DEL COCO (FAICO).<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this alliance is that the CRFW helps to channel the economic resources (donations) so that FAICO fulfills its mail goal: secure and channel financial, human and technical resources toward dominant actions that help preserve and keep the wildlife and natural and land resources of Cocos Island. With this in mind, the CRFW will donate $5 USD for every entrance ticket sold.<\/p>\n<p>FAICO will have a stand at the CRFW to promote its campaign \u201cMy Cocos Island.\u201d The goal of this campaign is for attendees to get to know Cocos Island through a virtual reality technology experience, where they can live and feel the experience of being there and enjoying its natural beauty without having to travel 532 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture and trainings at the CRFW will be free but reservations must be made in advance. The only activity that has a payed entrance will be the four fashion shows that will happen between Friday and Sunday. The price of the ticket, as well as where to buy them and the schedule of the activities, will be announced soon.
